  • Rolf Stahel, a Swiss national, is a veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, known for his marketing and business acumen. He worked for over 25 years with Wellcome plc in Switzerland, Italy, Thailand, Singapore and the UK. Mr. Stahel joined Shire Pharmaceuticals Group in 1994 as its Chief Executive when the company was privately held and had an estimated value of approximately $30Mn, revenues of $3Mn and 50 employees. He implemented six mergers and acquisitions and nine years later, Shire had a market capitalization of approximately $3.2Bn, revenues of $1.1 Bn with 1800 employees. Mr Stahel served as non-executive Chairman of three international pharma companies - Newron Pharmaceuticals S.p.A (a neurology company), Cosmo Pharmaceuticals S.p.A. (a drug delivery company mainly in gastroenterology), EUSA Pharma Inc. (a cancer and neurology company).  He currently holds the following positions: Executive Chairman of Chesyl Pharma Ltd (consultancy service provider to pharmaceutical portfolio companies) and Non-Executive Chairman of Connexios Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Midatech Ltd. (a nonomedicine company), and Ergomed Clinical Research Ltd. (specializes in providing clinical research services in the fields of oncology, neurology, immunology and rare diseases).
  • Suri Venkatachalam founded Connexios in 2003. He is also one of the founding directors of Group Lifespring, a group of companies including Connexios, focused on a range of human health areas from discovery to healthcare, which is supported by Nadathur Holdings and Investments. Prior to Connexios, he was part of the founding team of Metahelix Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. an agri-biotech company based in Bengaluru, where he headed the bioinformatics division. Before his move into industry, Suri was a Research Associate in computational ecology at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru; a visiting scientist at the computer science department of Linkoping University, Sweden; an adjunct associate fellow at the Indian National Institute of Advanced Studies and a LJIS Burroughs-Wellcome post doctoral fellow in computational neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego.
  • Venkatraman Thyagarajan has more than 35 years of experience in the global pharmaceutical industry—all within GlaxoSmithKline. Over the course of his career, he has held senior management positions in GSK in several of its global operations including Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He was the MD of GSK, India and then VP of GSK, Asia based in Singapore.  He is a board member of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India`s largest software company.
  • Sriram Nadathur is a Director at Nadathur Holdings and Investments and is responsible for managing the firm`s health care and life science portfolio. He is also Director of Nadathur Far East, which is focused on international investments. Prior to this, Sriram founded Syndicated Research Group (USA), a financial and HR research firm and managed its operations. He also founded World Research Advisory (USA), an advisory firm catering to the needs of treasurers of Fortune 500 companies.
